What else can I do to stop my cat from itching their back end?

Well, it depends what you have done already!
First, by far the most likely cause for a cat itching at themselves is fleas and you must ensure you have totally eradicated them. This means treating them, and any other pets you may have, for several months in a row with a veterinary approved flea product and also using a household spray to stop them from being able to breed in your house.
Second, if they have caused damage to their skin by scratching; for example created open sores, then you need to visit your vet for some treatment to heal these. Often, even if the inciting cause has been removed, the cat will continue to tear at themselves because the infections and scabs can be as irritating as the original problem.
Other causes of itchy backends are worms and blocked anal glands. These both cause irritation right at their bottoms and they might lick at the very backs of their legs or the base of their tail. They might even scoot along the floor on their bottoms to relieve themselves..
Blocked anal glands can be expressed by your vet and they will be able to provide worming treatment to clear any infestations.
